Sur Sadhna has its roots in a strong tradition of music education. The platform evolved from K.I.P.A., an offline music institute based in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, where hundreds of students were trained in singing and musical instruments. Over the years, the institute became known for its quality teaching, disciplined learning approach, and student performances at cultural programs, competitions, and live events.
During the COVID period, the offline institute transitioned fully into an online format, giving rise to Sur Sadhna. This shift allowed the same teaching values, experience, and dedication to reach a wider community of learners through structured digital courses.
Sur Sadhna is led by Puja Ghosh D, Founder and Lead Instructor, who oversees course design, teaching methodology, and student learning standards. The platform follows a clear learning hierarchy starting from strong basics, moving step by step toward confident performance ensuring that every student progresses with clarity, discipline, and confidence.
Puja Ghosh D is a professional singer, music educator, and independent artist with over a decade of experience in teaching and performing. She specializes in Indian classical vocals along with modern and Bollywood-style singing, and also trains students in instruments such as guitar, keyboard, and harmonium.
Over the years, Puja has trained more than 500 students through her offline music institute in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, as well as through online platforms. Her teaching journey includes preparing students for stage performances, cultural programs, competitions, and live events helping them build strong musical foundations and confidence.
An IIT alumnus, Puja combines discipline, structure, and creativity in her teaching approach. She is a dedicated disciple of renowned maestros Pt. Sanjay Patki, Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, and Pt. Jayanta Sarkar, which strongly influences her emphasis on classical fundamentals and musical clarity.
Alongside teaching, Puja is an independent musician with original songs released on major digital platforms such as Spotify and YouTube. Through Sur Sadhna, she continues her mission to make music education simple, approachable, and enjoyable especially for beginners who wish to learn with confidence and consistency.
